Joining the Choirs

If you know a boy or a girl who enjoys singing, we are always on the look-out for new and exciting talent. The Director of Music, Scott Farrell is always happy to meet parents, sons and daughters to explain the unique experience and opportunities offered by being a Chorister. Why not come and join one of the oldest music foundations in the world?

Boy Choristers

There are up to 18 boys, aged 8-13, who are all educated at King's School, Rochester. Each chorister gets a termly bursary from the Cathedral. For an informal discussion please contact Scott Farrell, the Director of Music, on 01634 810061 or by email through the web form.

Girl Choristers

The Girls' Choir is currently going through a period of change; having been founded for 18 girls aged 8-14, it is now being developed into an 11-16 choir.

We are keen on hearing from girls currently in school years 6 or 8, to start in September 2010.  If you are interested in an informal discussion please contact Dan Soper, the Director of the Girls' Choir, on 01634 810061 or by email through the web form.

Lay Clerks

Opportunities for Altos, Tenors and Basses

Experienced altos, tenors and basses are always welcome to audition to join the pool of Deputy Lay Clerks. For most services in the Cathedral, three Deputy Lay Clerks sing alongside the three Choral Scholars. For further information please contact the Director of Music.
