Tea Rooms & Gardens

The Tea Rooms - located in the 18th century Deanery and open throughout the year between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Saturday and 10am and 4.30pm Sunday for breakfast, light refreshments, lunches, afternoon tea and take away. We also offer Fairtrade tea, coffee and hot chocolate. All our food is home made on the premises. Vegetarian meals are always available as are diabetic and gluten-free cakes. We are open during the Sweeps Festival and the Dickens Festivals.
You can contact the Tea Rooms on 01634 810076.
To reach the Tea Rooms from the Nave - exit either through the North Door (and turn right) or the South Door (and turn left). The Tea Rooms are accessible to wheelchair users, including toilet facilities.
The Gardens - one of Rochester’s best-kept secrets with its majestic Magnolia Grandiflora and view across what was originally the monastic herb garden. Although only yards from busy Rochester High Street, the peace and tranquility of the garden provides a sanctuary for wild birds, squirrels and foxes, and, weather permitting, visitors to the Tea Rooms.
