Fragments of History Exhibition

Our Cathedral's story in stone, glass and thread

Rochester Cathedral’s 2019 exhibition brings together some of the finest sculptural fragments found around the building over the last 200 years.

The fascinating exhibition features 50 stones spanning the Cathedral’s 1400 year history. This represents just 10% of the loose fragments in the Cathedral’s collection. This is the first time many of these fragments have been accessible to the public. A number of other medieval treasures are also on display including a stunning vestment made of peacock and other bird feathers. Find out more about this exhibition here

This is the latest exhibition to use the recently restored Treasury Gallery in the medieval Crypt. The exhibition was designed by Olley Design and was curated by Jacob Scott.

Entry to the exhibition is free and it runs until the end of the year.
