This year marks the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. On the 6th June 1944, Allied forces landed in Northern France starting the campaign to liberate Europe. To date, it is the largest combined naval, air and land operation in military history.

To commemorate this historic day, Rochester Cathedral will be holding a special Evensong at 17:30 on the 6th June. All are welcome to join us at this service. Following the service, the Cathedral bellringers will join bellringers across the country for the National Bellringing for Peace.

As it grows dark, Rochester Cathedral’s spire will be lit gold to join beacons across the country.
