Welcome to Rochester Cathedral during

Thy Kingdom Come, the global wave of prayer

Thy Kingdom Come is a global wave of prayer for the growth of the Church.

From Ascension Day to Pentecost – May 30 to June 9 – Christians all over the world are praying for more people to become Christians, and for the growth of God’s kingdom.

To find out more about the events and to see the prayer calendar, please click here.

Christians are praying Thy Kingdom Come in every diocese and every cathedral in the Church of England and all around the world. By being here today, you can be part of it.

You might like to light a candle.  If you would like a chaplain to pray with you or for you, or for someone else, please ask a welcomer or a verger.

During Thy Kingdom Come, many special events are taking place across the Diocese of Rochester. Details appear on the TKC prayer calendar, which is on display in the Cathedral.

Please join us in praying for these events as they happen

To continue praying with us during Thy Kingdom Come you can find the TKC prayer calendar on our website: here

Enjoy the free Thy Kingdom Come resources: the Novena (nine days of prayer) the Prayer Journal and the Family Prayer Adventure Map with stickers for each day. Why not take one for somebody else too?

Please share your photos and prayers and join others in prayer:

The Diocese of Rochester

The Diocese of Rochester is made up of 17 Deaneries, represented by the banners hanging in the nave. Each Deanery is made up of several Parishes. The Deaneries have created displays in the Cathedral, to give you a flavour of the Diocese of Rochester and its variety, and to encourage you to join them in praying for the people and communities they serve. You can explore the diocese in more depth on the touchscreens around the Cathedral.
