Support Rochester Cathedral

Rochester Cathedral has been a place of faith, beauty, and belonging for over 1400 years. It’s where music uplifts, history lives, and people from all walks of life come to reflect, celebrate, and connect.

But this sacred space doesn't look after itself.

It costs over £5,000 a day to keep the Cathedral open and active - hosting daily worship, welcoming visitors, offering world-class music, and running educational and community programmes. Despite its national importance, we receive very limited public funding. As a registered charity, we rely on people like you.

Your gift helps us:

  • Protect and conserve this extraordinary building

  • Keep entry free and welcome open to all

  • Inspire future generations through music, learning, and outreach

  • Sustain a vibrant place of Christian worship in the heart of Kent

Whether you cherish the Cathedral as a place of Christian worship, for its choral tradition, its heritage and architecture, or simply as a peaceful place to pause and reflect, your support makes a real difference.
