​​If you have been harmed (or affected) by abuse however long ago, the Safeguarding Team at Rochester Cathedral are here to listen and to support you.

Whether you feel able to report the abuse or would rather access support and talk through the options first, we encourage you to speak with someone. That could be someone you already know, a member of Rochester Cathedral Safeguarding Team or a person at one of the organisations listed below.

 Safe Spaces is a free and independent support service, providing a confidential, personal, and safe space for anyone who has been abused through their relationship with either the Church of England or the Roman Catholic Church of England and Wales.

Domestic Abuse

 Women can call the National Domestic Abuse Helpline on 0808 2000 247 (24 Hour).

It is free at any time day or night. The staff will offer confidential, non-judgemental information and support.

OASIS (Domestic Abuse Services in Medway and Kent) provides support to women and men victims to break free of domestic abuse and rebuild their life as well as other support services. For non-emergency support you can call the helpline on 08009179948 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9:30am – 11:30am and 12:30pm-2:30pm. Thursday and Friday from 9:30am – 11:30am
