Visit the Café in the Crypt

Enjoy a light lunch, treat yourself to a slice of cake or warm up with a cup of tea in our Café located in our 13th Century Crypt. The Café in the Crypt has been open since February 2018. The Café is run by volunteers and we aim to follow the Cathedral’s Benedictine foundations by offering a warm and genuine welcome to all visitors. It is a lovely place to eat in Rochester.

Local Produce

We aim to use Kentish suppliers and producers where possible. We have a range of homemade cakes, simple sandwiches and local fruit juices. We also have a small range of products for visitors with gluten and dairy allergies.

All proceeds go to keeping this stunning Cathedral open for another 1400 years.

Location

The Café in the Crypt is located downstairs in the Crypt of Rochester Cathedral.

Opening Times

The Café in the Crypt is open Monday – Saturday from 11am to 3pm.

(For any changes to this – please check our closure notices.)
