The report by the Social Care Institute for Excellence of the Cathedral’s safeguarding policy, practices, leadership and management is now available.
In September 2019 auditors from the Social Care Institute for Excellence undertook an audit of the Cathedral’s safeguarding policy, practices, leadership and management. This was part of a national programme of safeguarding audits undertaken at every Anglican cathedral. The auditors’ report is published here. A new Cathedral Safeguarding Action Plan has been developed to address the questions raised by the auditors. The Plan contains responses to the auditors’ concerns and identifies priorities, actions and timeframes. It is published here alongside the SCIE Audit report and will be updated at regular intervals.
