3rd August - the cypher
The Cypher celebrates the energy, creativity and the togetherness of hip hop dance and culture. Inspired by the origins of hip hop – where communities would come together in the streets to dance, share music and connect – we bring that same spirit to the stage.
4th August - drawing breath
Drawing Breath is a reflective drawing workshop led by David Willis that brings together qigong breathwork to explore how our bodies record time, motion and presence.
5th August - The beatbox experience
Discover your inner voice and create music with others with Bass6 (Rupert Oldridge) using nothing but the human anatomy and learn how to beatbox with world champion Bass6 from The Beatbox Collective.
6th August - Spiritus
Experience Rochester Cathedral as a living, breathing musical ecosystem. Created by composer Dan Samsa in partnership with 2Makeit, a charity using creative arts as a tool for rehabilitation, SPIRITUS, bridges the cathedral’s acoustic space with the voices and creative expressions of those supported by the justice system.
7th August - Spiritus
Suboptimal is the immersive, brass and vocal led, live-looped extravaganza you never knew your life was missing. Powered by pure lung capacity and a passion for performance, it’s a masterclass in turning breath into brass beats.
