Formal notice of consultation to changes to the Cathedral's Constitution and Statutes

The Cathedral’s governing body, the Chapter, in consultation with the Bishop of Rochester is proposing changes to its Constitution and Statutes.

Why is this happening?

Following the enactment of the Cathedrals Measure 2021, all Cathedrals were required to produce a  new  set of Constitution and Statutes. On 6th November 2023 Rochester Cathedral’s new Constitution and Statutes came into force.

Since this date, the Cathedral has identified a small number of omissions/minor errors. To address these the Chapter is proposing changes to the Constitution and Statute. These can be read in the downloadable document
