Changes in the Liturgy and Music Department

After 4 years as Director of Music, Adrian Bawtree will be relinquishing his role at the end of the summer term to support the Chapter’s vision for the Cathedral and wider community in the context of Music, Arts and Wellbeing. 

This exciting new development means there is need to create the necessary space within the Liturgy and Music Department for our rich choral tradition to continue and for this new development within Cathedral life to be accomplished. Future details of how these plans become reality will be shared more widely in the fullness of time.

Adrian previously worked as Second Assistant Organist at Canterbury Cathedral. He also worked at Rochester Cathedral as Organist in 2013-2016 and then Interim Director of Music in 2018-2019.
