Rochester Cathedral Trust Nave Dinner - Thursday 20th November 2025

In early November, more than 135 guests gathered for a spectacular dinner in the Nave—a memorable finale to the 2025 events calendar. The Cathedral was transformed for the evening, with stunning floral arrangements by the Cathedral Flower Guild and imaginative lighting that highlighted the beauty of the space.

After Grace sung by the Choristers, guests enjoyed a delicious three‑course meal, despite the chill of the night. Entertainment was provided by former Rochester chorister and long‑standing member of The Sixteen, Christopher Royall, whose stories and experiences delighted the audience. Guests were also treated to a performance by celebrated operatic soprano Jo Appleby, accompanied by Adrian Bawtree, Director of Music.

A silent auction ran throughout the evening, attracting enthusiastic bidding and raising substantial funds for the Cathedral’s Music Appeal. In total, the event generated just under £50,000, supporting both the choral tradition and expanding musical outreach across the Medway community.
