A memorial to Archdeacon John Law is located on the east wall of the south nave transept.

Mural monument of white marble. A bust of the Archdeacon is in the closed church of St. Mary, Chatham.

Translation

Nearby are buried the remains of John Law S.T.P. Of this diocese, for nearly 60 years Archdeacon and of Chatham Church for more thasn 40 Vicar. A man who so adorned the duty of a Christian priest. By his teaching, his humanity and by his character, who so bound all good men to him by his extreme kindness, that they loved nobody more living, nor miss anyone dead with more longing. He died in the year of grace 1827, in the 88th year of his life.
